How to choose the right CPVC pipe size for your home

From 1/2" branches to 1" mains — a homeowner's guide to sizing your plumbing without overspending.
Sizing a home water system is part engineering, part common sense. Get it right and your taps run strong on every floor; get it wrong and you'll be chasing pressure problems for years.
For a typical 2–3 BHK home, a 1" CPVC main line feeding ¾" floor distributors and ½" fixture branches is the sweet spot. It balances flow, cost and ease of installation — and matches the way Indian plumbers are trained to work.
If you have a borewell, an overhead tank above 2,000 litres, or more than two bathrooms on the same floor, step up the main to 1¼". The extra rupees you spend on diameter pay back forever in pressure.
Always insist on ISI 15778-marked CPVC. The grade matters as much as the size — and Margo Pipes & Fittings Pipes & Fittings products are pressure-tested batch by batch so the number on the label is the number you get in the wall.
